Washington Circle is a traffic circle in Washington, D.C., in the United States. Located in the Northwest quadrant of the city, the circle is intersected by 23rd Street, K Street, New Hampshire Avenue, and Pennsylvania Avenue NW. This traffic circle is situated in the Foggy Bottom and West End neighborhoods. This circle dates to 1856, and was the first traffic circle developed in the city.

In the middle of Washington Circle is a popular statue of George Washington. This bronze statue depicts George Washington riding his horse during the Battle of Princeton. This tavern was built in 1796 and is the oldest commercial structure in the city. Old Ebbitt Grill is Washington’s oldest saloon and now serves an array of mouthwatering dishes including some excellent seafood options.
