Summary

After many years of neglect and multiple changes in ownership Castlebridge was purchased by Ashville for clients. It provided five, 4-storey office buildings around a central courtyard totalling circa 55,000 sq ft.

The plan was to take this under-invested asset and create a working environment that suited modern company requirements. Benefitting from a great city centre location opposite Bute Park and Sophia Gardens, a short walk from the central railway station and a high car parking ratio, the buildings potential was clear to see.

Works were immediately undertaken to the common parts and offices with further improvements made to the external areas with a new granite finish to the courtyard and a new lighting and signage scheme across the development. The offices were refurbished with high quality finishes, and to improve occupiers’ facilities and journey from the car park, a new rear reception was developed that also incorporated impressive shower and changing facilities.

Castlebridge has now set itself apart from other offices in Cardiff as a desirable working environment in a convenient central location. It has been re-positioned in the market in both design, quality and rental levels and became for the first time in many years fully let with a waiting list of potential new occupiers.
